Collection Toolkit (the “App”), provided by Zolo Digital (“we”, “us”), helps Shopify merchants organize products into collections with rules and run bulk operations on their catalog — importing and exporting collections, prices, and inventory, scheduling price changes, and tracking price history. This policy explains what data the App accesses, stores, and writes, and how it is used.
Information the App accesses
With the store owner’s consent (granted through Shopify’s permission scopes at install), the App reads and writes the following store data through the Shopify Admin API:
- Products, product variants, and prices (including compare-at prices)
- Product attributes — title, handle, vendor, product type, status, SKU, and barcode
- Collections and collection membership
- Inventory levels and store locations
- Product update events, received through a
products/updatewebhook, so price changes can be recorded
The App does not access, collect, or store any customer personal data (names, emails, addresses, or order information).
Information the App stores
- Your store’s
myshopify.comdomain and Shopify access tokens, used to call the Shopify API on your store’s behalf. Tokens are stored securely, expire, and are refreshed automatically. - The collection rules and conditions you create in the App.
- CSV files you upload to import data or to schedule a price change, retained so the App can process the operation and show its result.
- Scheduled price changes you create — including the new prices and the original prices captured when a change is applied, so prices can be reverted automatically when a sale ends.
- Operation logs — the type, status, item counts, and timestamps of rule runs, imports, exports, and scheduled changes — so the App can show your activity history.
Information the App writes to your store
To provide its features, the App writes the following to your store through the Shopify Admin API, only when you ask it to:
- Collections and collection membership
- Product and variant prices and compare-at prices
- Inventory quantities
- A product metafield, in the App’s reserved namespace, that stores a per-product price-change history shown on the product page
How the information is used
Store data is used solely to provide the App’s features: building and updating collections, running rules, importing and exporting your catalog, scheduling price changes, and displaying price history. It is never sold, rented, or used for advertising.
Sharing and processing
Data is not shared with third parties except the infrastructure providers required to operate the service — application hosting and a managed PostgreSQL database (Railway) — which process data only to run the App. Store data is also transmitted to and from Shopify to perform the operations you request.
Data retention and deletion
When you uninstall the App, its access to your store is revoked and your session and access tokens are deleted. In line with Shopify’s requirements, all data the App holds for your store is permanently erased when Shopify sends its shop data erasure request (approximately 48 hours after uninstall). App-owned data written to your store, such as the price-history metafield, is removed when the App is uninstalled. The App also responds to Shopify’s mandatory customer data request and erasure webhooks; because no customer data is stored, there is none to return or delete.
Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access tokens are stored in a secured database.
