Arabic that reads right to left
The Arabic store has to flip, not just translate: direction set in the theme, mirrored arrows and sliders, and no English leaking onto the Arabic pages.
A national short address at checkout
Since 1 January 2026, Saudi couriers have to refuse parcels without a short address, and Shopify's checkout doesn't ask for one. My app, Checkout Toolkit KSA, does.
Saudi couriers connected
SMSA, Naqel, Aramex, SPL and J&T each reach Shopify differently. A paid order should create the waybill, book the collection and attach the label, with tracking flowing back.
mada, Apple Pay and pay-later
Cards go through a local gateway such as Moyasar, Tap, HyperPay or PayTabs, with mada and Apple Pay, Tabby or Tamara for pay-later, and cash on delivery where it still matters.

Do you work with brands in Riyadh?
Yes. I run the web side of Balqees, whose Saudi store is Arabic first, and all my work is done remotely from Karachi, two hours ahead of Saudi Arabia. Calls are on Google Meet or WhatsApp.
My store is translated but still reads left to right. Do I need a new theme?
Usually not. Shopify reports the right direction for Arabic, but most themes have CSS, icons, sliders and drawers that assume the page starts on the left. Fixing those is Liquid and CSS work in the theme you already have.
Which Saudi couriers can you connect to Shopify?
SMSA has an official Shopify app and Naqel has its own plugin. Aramex, SPL and J&T connect through an aggregator such as OTO or a custom integration with the courier's API. I built the Naqel integration for Balqees.
Do Saudi customers need a short address at checkout?
Yes. Since 1 January 2026, delivery companies in Saudi Arabia have to refuse parcels without a national short address. My app, Checkout Toolkit KSA, holds a Saudi checkout until a valid code is entered.
How much does it cost?
